The Social Committee is a body that focuses on building community and supporting programs and events that allow parishioners to connect with one another on social levels. Their work includes proposing new social endeavors, planning events, decorating, and cooking at various times. Recent activities include a block party/car show, the Mardi Gras party, the Dyngus Day celebration, the New Years Eve party, and other events that benefit the health, morale, and welfare of the parish. The committee is one of the most vibrant and active in the parish and meets when needed, typically monthly. The current chair is Dianna Coleman.
